Commitment to Diversity

One of the most important things about journalism is listening to multiple stories and using the media to elevate them. As a writer, I strive to get to know the person and so I can share the work they do that goes unnoticed. From multimedia projects to in-depth personality profiles, I strive to introduce McIntosh to people who have interesting experiences and perspectives that help shape our school's culture.
Staff
The Trail staff welcomes members with open arms regardless of race, gender, religion, etc. Having a diverse staff is crucial because it allows all students to have their voices heard. The staff is also involved in many different academic and extracurricular programs such as Band, Student Government, Amnesty club, Shakespearean society, and Drama. Having staffers involved in these programs helps expand our coverage of programs that the community may have little knowledge about.
